We separate our leather into two categories which are "Basic Leather" and "Deluxe Leather."

The differences are mainly cost and color choice. Usually, the quality of both types of leather is in the same range, with the exception that the "deluxe" leather is usually softer than the average "basic leather."

"Basic Leather" is currently leather that we buy in larger bulk at a lower price level. The leather that is currently available in the market is what we have to choose from and the colors and textures are almost never the same. This limits our choices but provides the customer with a good quality but lower priced leather. This is why "Basic Chaps" are available in what we call "Earthtone" colors. When buying chaps that are made of this leather the customer has only a choice of the leather that is currently in stock and will not have standard colors to choose from.
